Inside the Fatting Room

Last week, I headed out in the stinky warm rain to do some shopping in the city. Here's a glimpse into my trip to the fitting rooms at City Chic.

I wore:

Shirt: Evans / skirt: crossroads / sweater: Opening Ceremony / hoodie: TS14+ / jacket: thrifted / shoes: Parthenon

The first dress I tried on was also the one I wound up buying. It's a leopard print skater dress with a cutout over the boobies. I got a size L and it was $99.95 It fits like a dream and feels amazing to wear.

This is the exact same dress in black (they've also got it in red), which is next on my shopping list! It's so simple and adaptable.

Similar cut, but terrible fit. The front straps felt sloppy and loose, and the faux-silk lining would get sweaty and nasty in hot weather. Not comfy. Not worth $100+

LOOK HOW PSYCHED I AM TO BE WEARING THIS DRESS YOU GUYS! I realised at this point that I will never again wear thin straps by choice. Especially not on my dress with an awkward-clingy lining. Despite the dress fitting me perfectly, the belt it came with was at least 3 inches too short. 6/10 City Chic.
