The closest I came was a pair of grey microfibre leggings from KMart that I hacked into shorts with my hair scissors (only the best for me), which were pretty cute, especially when I wore them under red dresses for a bit of contrast.
Eventually, I found some on OneStopPlus. Diving head-first, I got this style in black, pink and purple—I figure there's no point hiding the fact that I'm wearing them, so I may as well get cute ones! Not wanting them to be too small, I bought them using my correct measurements, and they're a little loose. Once I locate a sewing machine in this city, I'll be able to fix them quick enough, but for now I'm just wearing them as is.

dress from ASOS / belt from Torrid / shorts from OneStopPlus / socks from Gorman / t-bars from Parthenon Shoes in Melbz (THEY'RE BROKE SOMEONE GET ME NEW ONES PLEEEEEASE!) / vintage swatch from eBay / blue polish by Sally Hansen, purple polish from Urban Outfitters
Today I took my time getting up, watching Twin Peaks, having a long, cold shower, doing laundry and getting breakfast (at midday) from Second Stop. Then I headed into the city to get a few things from Grand Central to put in Anton's welcome-to-New-York package (countdown: 26 hours until his arrival!). On Monday I went to see a movie at a theatre in Times Square, and caught my breath when I got out of the subway and saw all the lights and noises I'd seen so many times in the movies. The same thing happened at Grand Central; it's such a beautiful building and I'm going to make sure I don't take it for granted, no matter how long I end up staying here.

i love your nails & i miss your face
